Lee Smith - ACU Centre MX, Enduro/Hare and Hounds

Lee joined the MX Bits Team in 2006 following a very successful 2005 campaign, and he is the MX Bits veteran at **cough** 33 years of age. Two serious shoulder injuries have disrupted the last 2 seasons, but Lee is training hard to regain full fitness for 2008.

2008 will see Lee concentrating on the ACU South Midland and Yorkshire Centre MX Championships, as well the North of England ORPA MX Championship. He will also try to regain his Yorkshire/Lincolnshire Enduro Championship crown, and will compete in several other events across the country, when time and none-championship weekends allow. His past achievements are listed below:

Harvey MacDonald - British 4 Stroke, ACU Centre Champs

Harvey MacDonald - British 4 Stroke, ACU Centre Champs

Harvey MacDonald is a new and welcome addition to the team side of mxbits. At only 18 Harvey has a very credited and experienced racing history with results such as 2007 AMX Club Champion in the Portsmouth Club & runner up in the ultra competitive Matchams Park Winter Series in 2004. Not only as a individual Harvey has also been a member of the World Mini Trophy team where they won in France and also The ACU Team Event 2006 where they also achieved success.

Pictured left at Tony Moto's in January 2008, Harvey will make the jump to the open class in 2008 aboard the Honda CRF450. He has so far set main he's target to achieve national adult expert status with a good number of points already in the bag from 2007. If this is achieved he will also compete in the South East Centre Expert Championship and selected rounds of the KWS Masters and British 4 Stroke series.
Alec Liell - East Anglia SSC

Alec Liell - East Anglia SSC

Alec will be running in full team glory at the East Anglia club in the AMX class and also selected ACU centre meetings in the East Anglia area for 2007.

In past seasons he has always finished in the top 3 of the club series and has never been out of the top 10 in the last 15 years! In 2006 Alec finished the East Anglia SSC AMX championship in a very strong 4th place, only 5 minor point gap separated him from 3rd place.

Alec is pictured late in the 2005 season aboard his 125 machine, which has now been replaced with the trusty YZF250.

Lewis Gardner - East Kent SSC

Lewis Gardner - East Kent SSC

Going into the 2007 season Lewis has only been racing for one and a half years. During the summer of 2005 he competed in selected rounds of Stevenage SSC summer championship before committing to the East Kent SSC series for 2006. In 2006 Lewis received most "improved rider" award in the Small Wheel 85cc group and also finished the summer championship in a very strong and positive 11th position missing out on a top ten finish due to a broken foot. For 2007 Lewis moved into the Big Wheel 85cc/150cc group aboard the new Honda CRF150 machine aiming for another top ten finish in their summer championship.

Jake Fry - East Kent SSC & Mid Sussex MXC

Jake Fry - East Kent SSC & Mid Sussex MXC

Jake fry was a new addition to team MXBits for 2006. When Jake joined us he was the current East Kent SSC 65cc 05/06 winter champion, and was on board to defend he's title as East Kent class champion as well as attack the Mid-Sussex 65cc championship. Luck wasn't on Jake's side and mid season Jake broke a bone in he's shoulder meaning the East Kent SSC title was gone, but Jake healed quick to still take the Mid Sussex 65cc title as well as a strong top 10 finish in the East Kent SSC championship.

For 2007 Jake pretty much dominated the opening rounds of the East Kent SSC Small Wheel 85cc Summer championship, but again bad luck struck and while leading the series by a good margin Jake suffered damage to he's ACL ligament meaning another dominating series was down the pan. He is now back riding after a couple of months lay off and is strongly focused on training for he's 2008 season.

Pictured here Jake was in pre-season training in the nice sunny states aboard the Honda CR85
